I Don't Care Where You Stand Politically....

Trouble in Paradise

Things are NOT going well with the roommate. She's...difficult. She yells. She doesn't take responsibility for anything in her life...including her child. I've decided that I'm just one more person she can blame all of her problems on. It's not good. I've had several nights of crying myself to sleep. I do not want to live this way. Unfortunately, I have no where to go right now and no money to get a new place. So, please pray for me. Pray that it will either get better or that God will provide a place for me to go. Personally, I'd just like for it to get better. I don't want to lose a friend over this.

I don't understand. I prayed and prayed about this. I didn't want to move in w/ her if it wasn't what God wanted for me! When we were talking about moving in together all kinds of problems kept popping up, but then they'd all go away. I thought maybe that was a sign from God. Am I crazy? Forevermore!

I'm 30! 30 people! I'm too old to be this unsettled. I need to get it together.

So, my goals for 2008 are as follows:
  1. Get a 2nd job.
  2. Save to move out.
  3. Pay off some bills.

Okay. That's all I've got for now. I guess I should have said that those are my financial goals. I'll think of some personal goals and post those later.

On a lighter note...kinda. Usually, Steph and I watch movies together on Sat nights. It's our thing. We started it b/f I moved in with her. We'd watch movies on Sat night, I'd spend the night and then we'd go to church together on Sun mornings. Well, this Sat night I was so upset with her I watched the movies by myself and then sealed the Netflix envelopes so that she couldn't watch them. Pitiful, I know. But I was mad at the time. This is what I watched:

Licensed To Wed with Robin Williams, Mandy Moore and John Krasinski. It was cute. Not great. Mandy Moore's hair was great though.

I've recently dyed my hair blonde, but having watched two Mandy Moore movies this weekend (I also watched Because I Said So in my room to avoid Steph), I'm rethinking this whole thing. I want her hair! =)

The Number 23 with Jim Carrey. Whoa. It's a crazy, weird movie. I liked it though. It's all dark and twisty.

Okay. Thats all for now. Pray for me! I'm so upset about this roommate situation.

A Story...

He sat patiently behind me while I finished my soup. He wanted to lick the bowl.

He put his paw on my shoulder to remind me that he was waiting.

He knows this is part of the ritual he must suffer through before he gets his soup.

He's happy after getting to lick the soup bowl.
(He looks frownie, but take my word for it.)

Jack says, "Iz can haz soup?"

The End.

Here are a couple more pics of my little men:

Quick Update

I'm finally moved out of the apt! Yay! Now I have tons of stuff piled in the garage of my new place. Boo!. Moving=sucks!

I took the next step at church and started going to the New Membership sunday school class. So, after two more weeks I can finally transfer my membership to Otter Creek! Yay! And after that, I'll be able to start helping out in the Missionettes department. I'm so excited! BTW, the meeting with the pastor's wife never happened! She's a busy lady. I'm not sure what I'll have to do to nail down an actual meeting time. Pray for me!

I still haven't gotten the Charleston pics. Dad said he'd burn those pics onto a disc for me this week. We shall see.

I'm going to see Walking With The Dinosaurs this Wednesday. I'm super excited. I'll try to take pics from that. Next week I'm going to see CATS. Yay! I'm so excited (apparently I'm excited about ERRRRTHANG!). I'm taking Rachael, who has discovered a love of all things Broadway. Unfortunately, there will be no pics from that, but I'm sure Rach and I will take a bunch of goofy pics of ourselves before and after the show. Fun times!

Peace out!

Steph and I watched two movies this weekend:

I'm Reed Fish. This was a very cute, quirky independent film. I rented it because of Alexis Bledel. I'm a die hard Gilmore Girls fan! The acting was great and now I want to buy an Schuyler Fisk album! Unfortunately, she doesn't have one. I'll have to be satisfied with her background vocals on Joshua Radin's album We Were Here. I love, love, love that album, BTW.
Mr. Brooks. I didn't expect much from this film. First of all, I didn't think that Kevin Costner would be convincing as a bad guy. I mean, he's better suited for romantic comedies and sports films, right? Well, I was pleasantly surprised. This movie was very entertaining. William Hurt was a great as Mr. Brooks other personality and Dane Cook was a nice little comic relief. Oh yeah...Demi Moore was in the movie too, but she was forgettable. Sorry, Demi.

I Heart...Beer?

Haha! Actually, I'm a beer snob. My fave drink is a Black & Tan. Oh the yummy, creamy goodness! I don't want you to get the wrong idea here. I hardly ever drink...maybe every few months I'll have some drinks with pals. Anyway, I am a snob. I'll only drink stuff like Bass, Guinness or Newcastle. Tasty!

Last Friday night I went to The Flying Saucer with some pals for a b-day party. Here are a couple pics from the night:

Happy 29th B-day, Simmy!

Amanda, Jenni, Sarah

Matt and Brady
Caleb and I
Amanda and I
Simmy with Beetlejuice.
They were having a Halloween costume party downstairs.
This is me enjoying the yummy, creamy, tasty goodness of a black and tan!

I Heart Music! (#2)

This week Emery asked everyone to give her music suggestions for her roadtrip. Now I'm in the music mood (actually I'm always in the music mood) and I want to blog about it! =)

Here are some of the albums I've gotten in the last month or so:

Beirut - The Flying Cup Club
Coconut Records - Nighttiming
*This one is my current fave. I've been listening to it over and over. This is Jason Schwartzman. He wrote all the songs and played all of the instruments.
Flight of The Conchords - The Distant Future
*Hilarious! I especially love the song "It's Business Time"!
Joni Mitchell - Shine
Kari Jobe - Worship
*My fave worship album right now.
Patty Griffin - Children Running Through
Pedro The Lion - Achilles Heel
*to finish off my Pedro collection.
Radiohead - In Rainbows
Rilo Kiley - Under The Blacklight
Robert Plant & Alison Krauss - Rising Sand

This is what I aquired yesterday after reading suggestions on Emery's blog:

Enter The Worship Circle - First Circle
Merchant Band - Merchant Band and also The World Can Wait

I can not stress how in love I am with music! All music! In fact, I buy so many albums that I can't even listen to it all. That's rediculous, right?! I just can't help myself. =)

Also, one of my coworkers is addicted to Starbucks. This works out great for me b/c they've been doing the Song of The Day for a while. So, every time she goes (every single day) she gets a free download for me! Yay!

I love music. Music, music, music. Here it goes down, down in my...um, EARS! Hehe. See how clever I am? I took an Anchorman quote and made it my own.

TTFN!
