Busy Weekend

Rach, KK and I went to the BHS game on Friday night.

We didn't really care so much about the football part of the game. We were there to support the band. We even made our own tshirts. This is KK modeling the front of the shirt.

And the back...

KK sat with us for a while...but soon ditched us to hang with her pals. She's quite the social butterfly.

Rach and I saw someone we knew...and did NOT want to talk to. This is us being scared that she might actually join us. She did...but we ran her off by totally ignoring her. GASP! We're so mean.

Then my most favoritest peeps showed up! ABB and SBB! Woot!

Mariah came to hang out with us during 3rd quarter. She was very upset because she "dropped 3 beats"...whatever that means. This is Rach and Mariah being sad over the lost beats. Only...Mariah couldn't stop smiling after I asked her to "be sad".

Also this weekend... I took Sam to the dog park for the very first time. He didn't quite know how to react. He didn't run around and play like I expected him to. I think he was overwhelmed by all the dogs (BIG DOGS) that were there. We didn't stay long because ginormous mosquitoes were eating us alive!!!

I'm not sure if I'll take him back. The dog park is a long way from my house and he didn't really enjoy himself. I think I'll stick to frequent play dates in our own house. =)

Bob Dylan 8-26-08

In case you didn't already know, Bob Dylan is my absolute fave. =) He came to LR Tuesday night and I had great seats in the pit. I had a perfect, up close view of my main man. Unfortunately cameras were not allowed. I did sneak my camera in anyway...cause I'm a rebel like that, but when it came down to it I was too afraid to snap any real pics. There were security guys everywhere! =( Here are the pics that I did take:

And they walked around holding them up and showing them to everyone they passed? Manders and I did that with our Dylan passes. =) And no we didn't have back stage passes (I FREAKING WISH!).

Progress...sorta.

I went into this whole apartment upgrade with full force. The first weekend I was determined to paint the entire apartment. FIVE ROOMS! Hahahaha! That sooo did not happen. I managed to get two rooms painted and then got sick. =( That completely ruined my motivation. So, here I am...three weeks in and I've only gotten two rooms painted. *shaking head* Well, I did manage to unpack my kitchen. That's something at least. Tonight I plan to finish unpacking my living room. The cable guy is coming tomorrow and it has to be presentable. HOORAY FOR CABLE! Seriously. I've been so depressed because I missed the whole Olympics. The only thing that has gotten me through the last three weeks is Netflix. Oh. And the Twilight series.

I had the busiest Saturday ever! I'm so tired right now that I'm 'bout to PASS OUT. I'm trying to hold on though. If I take a nap, I'll never sleep tonight. Anyhoo, this is how it all went down...

Saturday afternoon, I went to Hot Springs for Torcan's 4th birthday party. Torcan is Ashley's son. He was the only kid there (besides his newborn sis), but he still had a blast. His daddy, Jeremy, made some yummy spaghetti and there was an ice cream cake. He RACKED UP on gifts. Here are a few pics:

After Torcan's party, my friend, Amanda, and I headed to Little Rock for another birthday party. This one was for my friend, Sarah, at Cozymel's. I heart Mexican food & Mexican beer! Here are a couple pics from that party:

Amanda and I left Sarah's party and headed to my friend Caleb's house. We parked there and then the three of us walked downtown to the Rev Room for a concert. THE AVETT BROTHERS! YAY! We met two more of our pals there: Kristy & Angie. Fun times! We danced our booties off. Here are a couple pics and a video:

So, after that whirlwind day...I'M BEAT! I think I might go to bed at 8:00 tonight!! I might be a little too old for that kind of partying! NAW! It was too much fun.

I Heart...Beer?

Haha! Actually, I'm a beer snob. My fave drink is a Black & Tan. Oh the yummy, creamy goodness! I don't want you to get the wrong idea here. I hardly ever drink...maybe every few months I'll have some drinks with pals. Anyway, I am a snob. I'll only drink stuff like Bass, Guinness or Newcastle. Tasty!
